Upcoming Cars from Maruti Suzuki in India

  • Maruti S-Presso – March 2020

 

The company launched the CNG variant of Maruti S-Presso at the Auto Expo 2020. The entry-level variant of this vehicle will be announced later this month. The petrol variant of Maruti S-Presso is already available in the market, while the CNG variant is expected to be launched at a price of around INR 30,000 more. The new CNG variant of Maruti S-Presso is said to have a three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine which generates 58 bhp power and 78 Nm torque.

 

  • Maruti Suzuki S-Cross – April 2020

 

The company also launched Maruti Suzuki S-Cross at the Auto Expo 2020. Similar to Ciaz and the XL6, this car too comes with a BS6 compliant engine. The price of Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is expected to be between INR 9 lakh and INR 12 lakh. It produces a maximum power of 105 PS and 138 Nm torque. 

 

  • Maruti Suzuki XL5 – September 2020

 

The all-new Maruti Suzuki XL5 is expected to be a premium upgrade of Wagon R. The car is said to be launched in the month of September this year. Even though the design of the car is as tall as the Wagon R, the base is comparatively much broader. Maruti Suzuki XL5 is available in BS6 compliant engine and produces 82 bhp power and 113 Nm torque.

 

  • Maruti Suzuki Jimmy – November 2020

 

Maruti Suzuki Jimmy is among the most awaited cars of the company. The vehicle is said to be launched under the company’s Arena dealership. In fact, the company is working towards a five-door variant of Maruti Suzuki Jimmy, especially for the Indian audience. It comes with a powerful 1.5 litre K15b petrol engine. It is expected to produce 102 PS maximum power and 130 Nm of torque.

 

  • Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid – Late 2020

 

At the Auto Expo 2020, the company also launched the Swift Hybrid. In fact, the company MD also confirmed that they are all set to launch the first hybrid electric model later this year. Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid is said to come with 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and a 48V electric motor. It is expected to produce 92 PS maximum power and 118 Nm of torque.
