Shoes You Need in Your Wardrobe

Hey, everyone needs a couple of pairs of killer shoes to get them through each season, and if you’re feeling a little lacklustre in the footwear department then you really are not alone. So many of us leave our feet as a bit of an afterthought, but the right pair of shoes can actually make your outfit, and your day! Now, shoes are not, repeat not, something to skimp out on. It might be tempting to pick up that budget pair of dupe heels, but your toes are going to absolutely hate you for it, plus they are guaranteed not to last. So, because you’re going to be smart and invest in your shoes, you want to make sure you’re splashing your cash on the right ones, right? Thought so! Without further ado, here are the shoes that you absolutely need in your wardrobe, right now…

White Sneakers

Come on, if you don’t have a pair of leather white sneakers in your wardrobe already then you really need to grab your coat and go and fetch some, pronto (or, you know check out women’s footwear online because it is 2020 after all!) A buttery soft pair of sneakers can be worn to the office with a suit, on the weekend with your denim and with all your flirty frocks to add a touch of streetwear cool. They’re the ultimate shoe.

Ankle Boots

A classic and a good one at that, the humble ankle boot is just the thing for those mid-season days when you want a comfy yet put-together shoe that’s going to keep those toes protected. Choose a Burgundy, brown, navy or black leather boot to get a tonne of wear out of these. If you want a kick of height, a pair with a one or two inch block heel will give you some stature without compromising on comfort.

Mules

Whether you’re looking for a low kitten heel or an easy breezy flat, the mule style is going to treat you very well. Look for an embroidered or satin statement pair to add a fun colourful touch to neutral outfits. These can be worn day or night for an eclectic chic vibe.

Platforms

We all need a chunky platform in our life, whether we know it or not. This style is comfortable, flattering and perfect for bringing some fashionable contrast to your sundresses and flirty skirts. Go for a studded black pair for a major statement or veer on the nude side for a gentler approach.

Brogues

The androgynous style is ever so chic and always on-trend, so you should think about investing in some gorgeously crafted brogues and embracing it a little. Look for patent black leather to match with all your workwear or to dress up those tee and jeans type days.

Knee High Boots

These are a lifesaver on miserable days or just for the whole of winter if you live in a colder climate. You’re going to get maximum protection from rain, snow and chill whilst looking amazingly stylish. Look for a dark neutral like navy or grey for a slimming effect and wear with everything from wide leg pants and mini dresses, to Bermuda shorts and maxi skirts.

Evening Shoes

By no means do you have to be stepping out in five inch stilettos every time you have a dinner reservation, but it is nice to hair a pair of sharp heels for special occasions. Look for peep toe pointed styles in a neutral tone to wear with all your evening dresses.

Leather Strappy Sandals

We all need some comfortable leather sandals to help our summer outfits look a little dressier. Look for a mauve or rose pink shade for a feminine touch or opt for a lovely tan leather for a timeless style that you’ll never get bored of. Flat pairs will serve you best.

Comfortable Slides

Comfy slides are essential for heading to the beach or running errands on a sweltering summer’s day. Look for a woven pair or opt for leather in a statement red or cream to add a little chic style to this well loved casual favourite.

With these in your wardrobe, you’ll be ready for anything!
