SEED 2020 is the short form of the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design. The exam is conducted by Symbiosis International University. Symbiosis University has already declared the entrance exam of SEED 2020 admission. The SEED entrance exam will be held on May 2nd, 2020.

SEED is the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design and students who clear the entrance exam get the valuable chance to shine in their career by studying at the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). The entrance exam is held for students to get admission for a bachelor’s degree in Design from Symbiosis. It has been decided from 2019 that admission to a Bachelor’s Degree in Design will be based on the SEED exam especially in Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture, and Design in Nagpur [SSPAD].

SEED entrance exam application and Registration has started
SEED was earlier known as the SET exam. The full form of SET is Symbiosis Entrance Test. The candidates must go to the respective websites to take enough information before going for the registration process. SEED is one of the four prominent entrance exams held by the Symbiosis Institute of Design. The exam considers prominent points on various grounds. The grounds on which the exam is taken are as follow:-
- Colour
- Geometry
- Visual Observations
- General Design Awareness
- Creative Thinking abilities
- Awareness of Indian Culture
- Crafts
- Traditions
The SEED exam usually is objective type based.

- Interior Space Design(ISD)

- Fashion Communication(FC)
Eligibility Criteria SEED 2020
SEED 2020 needs the candidates to fulfil certain criteria for registration purposes. The eligibility criteria which are followed for the SEED 2020 registration are as follow:-
- 10+2 completion in streams like Science, Commerce or Arts from a recognized university.
Or
- 10+3 Diploma under State Board of Technical Education with 50% aggregate marks and 45% aggregate marks for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
- Students who have appeared for the 10+2 exam or 10+3 exam are also eligible for appearing for the SEED exam 2020, provided their final results will be presented by June 2020 admission after selection.
- There is a special condition for students who have failed the 10+2 exam but have cleared the compartmental exam later on. In such cases, the students will be admitted to SID on a provisional basis.
- There is a special preference for students who possess skills in creative aptitude for Design education. Candidates who have a relevant portfolio in Design will also get a special preference for admission.
N.B: International students also have the chance to get admitted to the SID through the SEED entrance Exam. The international students have to contact the Symbiosis International Office for further information. The students will have to log onto the website https://scie.ac.in/ for further info. Studio Test and Personal Interaction Round
The students who have passed the SEED entrance exam will have to appear for the studio test. The studio test will be announced by SID at an appropriate time. The Studio Exam and the personal interview test will be held in the SID Pune campus.
Final Result
The final result will be declared based on the SEED entrance exam along with performance in the Studio Test and the Personal Interview exam. The final merit list will be based on the total result of the three exams.
