Maruti S-Cross to get 1.5-litre Petrol Engine:

Latest updates of Maruti S-Cross:

After the announcement that Maruti will interrupt all its diesel engines after April 2020, the Maruti S-Cross is ready to obtain a new gasoline engine. The current 1.3-liter DDiS200 engine will likely be replaced by the 1.5-liter Smart Hybrid K15 gasoline unit from Ciaz and this updated S-Cross will debut at the Auto Expo 2020. Previously, Maruti Suzuki had updated the S-Cross with a couple of new features. The news comes shortly after the launch of the new Ciaz cosmetic surgery.

A good number of functions will be transferred from the C segment sedan and additions will be made to the standard equipment, including the TFT MID (multiple information screen) and the speed alert system. In addition, the Sigma base variant will now have wheel caps instead of bare steel wheels.

However, it is the Delta variant that gets the most updates. Now it will come with the start-stop button along with keyless entry, cruise control, retractable and electrically adjustable alloy wheels and ORVM. Other additional features include washing and subsequent cleaning with defroster and auto AC. The Zeta and Alpha variants, however, do not obtain any type of change.

In addition, the SmartPlay infotainment system is only available with the Alpha variant of the highest specification. At the front of the powertrain, the S-Cross will continue to be driven by the same 1.3-liter diesel engine, which generates 90PS and 200 Nm, coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Expect Maruti Suzuki to raise prices slightly. Currently, the crossover has a price between Rs 8.6 lakh to Rs 11.32 lakh (former Delhi show room).
