How Is the in-Hand Salary Calculated?
The in-hand salary of an entry-level IBPS clerk ranges between INR 19,000 and INR 22,000 per month. The compensation includes basic pay, which is around INR 11,500. There may be slight variations depending on which bank the clerk has joined and where the bank is located.
Special Benefits and Allowances
Special benefits, DA, HRA, and transport costs are some of the other perks added to the basic pay. Other benefits include the medical allowance of INR 2000 and travel allowance, which is reimbursed by the bank at their discretion.

Difference in Pay
There might be some difference in the IBPS clerk pay scale depending on the clerk’s location. The in-hand pay might change depending on whether the bank is located in the rural or urban areas. The main difference is seen in the HRA as housing rent in metro cities is significantly higher than in suburban areas.
Hence, in metro cities, the HRA is calculated at 8.5% of the basic pay. In other cities, where the population is over five lakhs, the HRA is calculated at 7.5% of basic salary. In all other areas, it is calculated at 6.5% of basic pay.
